College Scholarship

We are proud to offer a $1,000.00 annual college scholarship to a graduating senior of Overbrook High School to positively impact the world in his/her future career choice.

In accordance with the final piece of our foundation’s mission statement, this scholarship honors Susan Marie (McCullen) Rupp’s memory by continuing to give back to the youth of Pine Hill, just as she did for so many years.

The Susan Marie Rupp Foundation is proud to award a scholarship to a deserving student in recognition of achieving an outstanding high school transcript, including:

  • Academic performance
  • Time and attendance record
  • Extracurricular club and athletic participation
  • Community volunteerism
  • And a vision for positively impacting the world in his/her future career choice

Susan was raised in Pine Hill, New Jersey and was proud to call Pine Hill her home for a lifetime. She attended Overbrook High School and actively participated in numerous clubs and activities. She graduated with honors in the class of 1976.

Susan’s passion for the youth of her hometown led her to employment with the Pine Hill School District as a Kindergarten Instructional Aide at the Dr. Albert M. Bean School, in addition to a 39-year involvement with the Pine Hill Youth Association. A pillar in the community and affectionately known to most kids as “Mrs. Rupp” or “Coach Sue,” she has touched the lives of hundreds of girls and boys in the classroom and on the softball, baseball, and soccer fields. She also held multiple leadership positions throughout the years with the Pine Hill Home & School Association and Pine Hill Youth Association.
